Review: I remember exactly when I first saw this film does not, but for a long time that I thought the second series was my favorite. Well, some time ago I bought the DVD box set and again when I saw the first movie, I knew it was definitely the best of the series, and also one of the best films ever made. Rocky is much more than just a boxing movie. It 'a film about the unbreakable human spirit, determination and a willingness to go the distance. Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) is a second-rate club fighter and a debt collector for a loan shark (Joe Nell Spin). He becomes involved with a shy girl who works at a pet store named Adrian (Talia Shire), and became a friend of her brother Paulie (Burt Young), too. Rocky's life is not really anything interesting - he at the World Heavyweight Champion Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) gives an unexpected chance at the title. An old boxer who became coach Mick (Burgess Meredith) has to be the manager of Rocky. Even if the whole movie is outstanding, the following are some of the greatest and most memorable moments of cinema of all time. Rocky strives to go the distance in training, the final fight, and the final moments of the film is so emotional and inspiring that fully demonstrates the human spirit and the will to win can develop anywhere. Added to this is an excellent soundtrack and you have a movie classic and unforgettable. Without a doubt deserved the award for best film in 1976. Outstanding performance by all team members, especially Burgess Meredith and Sylvester Stallone. By ******** |
