Review: I'm really shocked people criticize the lack of substance in this film. I've seen comments about how dialogue is limited and therefore it is hardly the story and character development. Did we watch the same movie? Im thinking we should not dive into a person's life have.Shame live sex addiction. The first 10 minutes of this movie is really for him, his addiction, his relationship with humanity (also a nurse), and can hardly be used to make words. You do not need a lot of dialogue, where emotions are communicated by facial expressions, an efficient description of the great editing. This film is full of all that.Obviously movies are subjective, but I feel sorry for those who say they do not know the characters at all times everything spoon fed to them. I'm not a sex addict, but it is associated with both Fassbender and Mulligan. I found the development of highly realistic and subtle. Does everyone always have to be that Hollywood Ending? If you get all wrapped up nicely and leave you with a warm and fuzzy feeling when you walk out of the theater? I certainly do not think so. Anyone who does not have it probably should not watch any of the films of Steve McQueen. Anyone can appreciate the raw, subtle and beautifully made film should go look ashamed. |
